Zoom Class

I took a three-day rosemaling class last weekend and finished this little sled. The class was great fun, and quite a challenge for the instructor. There were about eight of us in the class and the instructor was able to demonstrate her painting and then help each one of us. It was a great way to spend three days of the covid confinement.

Done!

Here's my completed plate. The bright colors were fun to paint.

Centerpiece

I finished the center of the plate I started during the snow storm. The snow is gone but the plate's not quite finished. I have some guide marks on the rim to help me space the design around the edge. This has been fun to paint.

Snowbound

Twelve inches of snow and still falling. This is a great day to stay indoors and point.

Here it is:  a garden in a little white tray.

Practice!

I usually use a practice board when I'm working on a project so I can try out colors, brushstrokes, design, etc. I didn't like the flower to the right of the center flower because it had no personality. Instead I painted the orange/yellow bud, which I think looks better. What do you think?

My latest finished project

I started this plate last spring, and finished it up this week. Now I'm eager to start something new.
