I painted while she quilted. Three days of quality sister time!

Done...and begun

I've finished the little red plate and have started a larger white plate. This style of rosemaling is called "Os" and I enjoy the bright colors and the great variety of flowers.

Day Two

I'm almost finished with the  plate. I just have to wait for it to dry, then paint a little gold design inside the black ring around the edge. And then I'm done. That was fast!

A day's work

I started painting a small eight-inch plate and got most of the flowers done. It's nice to work on something small because I feel like I'm actually getting a lot done.

A satisfied customer

Here's a picture of Pete with the mirror I painted.  He seems happy with it.

This is a plate I finished up. I like the way the colors stand out on the black background.

Finishing up

I have all the flowers and leaves done.  Now I'm paining a gold edge.  When everything is dry I can wipe off the chalk marks and varnish the piece.

Finally finished

I started this picture frame about a year ago and finished it just before Christmas.  It's nice to have it completed.  Now to finish the mirror I started months ago.  Let's hope that goes a little faster.
